Keeping your style simple
What happened to simplicity? I had the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful Indian wedding. I’ve never seen more vibrant colors at a wedding. All the women wore saris. As ornate as they were, the lines to a sari are very simple. The women who have incredible bodies just rocked them.
Afterward I drove back into the city to enjoy the rest of my night in a lounge. I look at how the young twenty-something woman dress and one in particular caught my attention. This woman’s attire was painful. It’s like it was the ’80s all over again. She was wearing an awful flowered dress with a leather jacket that had zippers all over it, pink leggings, gladiator shoes, rocker hair, and a green clutch. Holy moly was all I can say to myself.
Strong and bold is the new statement in style for autumn. So I guess some women are putting this into their wardrobe early. That’s fine as long as its done right. For young women I recommend a black jacket like this Miss Sixty bomber, camisole, boyfriend jeans and gladiator shoes. Be bold, be strong and make the statement. Use common sense so you don’t look like a storm breaking up a rainbow.

What stores would you recommend to go by some basic simple clothing. Or maybe a really good bomber jacket?

Hi Betty,
I got my bomber jacket from Victoria Secret. But I’ve seen them in Target, H&M and several other places. For basics, you want a little more quality so they can last you for a long time. Since summer is around the corner lets go through those basics. I bought a lot of my t-shirts from a place called underteas. They are $30 a shirt but I can tell you that I bought my first two three years ago and after many washes I still have them! I always hang dry due to the type of material they of made of. I did try Shade Clothing and they don’t seem to last as long but I do wear Shade camisoles. Jeans…find a pair that just fit you well. It doesn’t matter what brand they are as long as you are comfortable in them – never machine dry jeans. A cardigan. You never know when you’ll need a little warmth. A pair of nice sandals, Miss Trish has some awesome ones at Target for a limited time through July. If you can’t find them in-stores go online. They are incredibly priced and she’s a wonderful designer. Feith is also at Target for limited time. He’s got an awesome line of fun skirts and dresses….check them out. I hope I didn’t write too much! Let me know if you need more.
