Inserts for heels and sandals

The sun has come out, summertime is around the corner and I’m sure that everyone is in full pedicure mode or planning to book an appointment. If you haven’t already bought your sandals, peep-toe shoes, wedges and fun shoes for the upcoming summer season then you’re about to do so. You need to get your feet as comfortable as possible in those new shoes. These will also save your feet.

There are a couple of inserts out there to pick up. The first is Insolia High Heel inserts. They are invisible and help to take the pressure off the ball of the foot to the heel. Because they help to shift the weight, it’s as though I was wearing 2-inch heels rather than 4-inch heels. My feet never slipped down into my heels and I was always comfortable in my shoes. These inserts can be used in any shoe or sandal and have an adhesive tape backing. I walk around NYC a lot so if they work for me, they can work for anyone. I love them and you can order three for around $20.

The second insert is called Summer Soles. They are fabric inserts that are thin and wick away moisture to keep your feet dry even on the hottest days. They are made so thin that no one can tell you have a liner in your shoe, sandals, flats, thongs, etc. They have a peel and stick bottom so they will not slip off or out of any shoe. I have these in all my flats. I love them. Summer Soles offers different print options and fragrances too. You can order three for around $20 as well.

So buy the great shoes, but make sure your feet are comfortable, too.

Fun flowered shoes and how to wear them for Spring

I was in the middle of a taking a tour when in walked a young lady in a turquoise dress. Her shoes caught my attention. I couldn’t look at her shoes long enough. This young lady really nailed her entire outfit and all her accessories. She had a simple dress that was a bright color. The shoes were floral, the purse was a hobo Coach, half-inch long earrings, a watch and a bracelet. She put thought into what she wore. Very impressive. I’d love to have asked for a picture to put in this blog.

The accessory that attracted my attention most were the shoes. Floral shoes are great. But sometimes they can kill an outfit because they can turn an outfit upside down. A lot of women over accessorize or they do too much with the shoes. These Stuart Weitzman Stout sandal are so much fun and can go with many outfits. He’s known for making shoes fun for women. Falling in love with lilac shoes

As I went through my closet to figure out what I can pack, give away, or keep I run into the same problem every year. As much as I try to add color I still end up with many black items. It’s a staple in my wardrobe.

When the seasons change I mix up my black and white clothing by buying colorful skirts and dresses. During a recent shopping trip I was looking at some shirts and from the corner of my eye a lilac pair of shoes caught my attention. I wanted to try them on. They were a pair of Steve Madden Trufle platform sandals. I didn’t even have to look in the mirror. I knew I was in love with them. To top it all off, three women gave me compliments. A man complimenting is great but it means so much more when a woman compliments you.

So if you’re like me and have a lot of black and white tops in your wardrobe try some colorful shoes.
